Bihar Gyandeep Portal RTE Admission 2025-26: The Patna Education Department has announced the online enrollment process for 25% disadvantaged group and weaker section children in private schools approved under the Right to Education Act, 2009, for the academic session 2025-26. The Gyandeep portal will be operational on December 26 for non-profit group and weaker section categories in private schools recognized under the Act.

Bihar RTE Admission Eligibility 2025-2026

The eligibility criteria for admission include children from Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Backward Class, Extremely Backward Class, and Minority Group with an annual income of up to Rs. 1,00,000/-, and weaker class children with an annual income of less than Rs. 2,00,000/-.

Bihar RTE Admission Age Limit 2025-2026

The age limit for admission is 6+ years old by 01 April 2025, with children born between 02 April 2017 and 01 April 2019 eligible.

Bihar RTE Admission Application Process 2025-26

The initial registration for children will occur on the Gyandeep Portal, where parents or children can register using mobile numbers. Verifying parents’ Aadhaar cards is necessary, but verifying the child’s is optional. The child’s Aadhaar card must be submitted to the school within three months of admission. After registration, a USER ID will be sent via SMS for completing the enrollment form.

Bihar RTE Admission Selection Process 2025-26

After filling in all required information, the applicant will choose a school. Parents, guardians, or children can see all schools in their block and must state the distance from the selected school to their home. During the online application, applicants select the nearest five schools in their block.

Children living within 01 km will get first priority, followed by those living 01 to 03 km for second priority, and 03 to 06 km for third priority. If seats are available, other block residents may also apply. The Block Education Officer/School Sub Inspector will verify distances.

Applicants should accurately report the distance to the school. This distance will be checked after the online process, and admissions will be finalized upon verification. Incorrect distance declarations can result in application cancellation.
